Emirates announced that it will start the first regular A380 flights to Moscow. The world’s largest passenger aircraft will be performing flights to Moscow Domodedovo airport daily from December 1st. AEX.ru
The carrier’s A380 aircraft intended for transportation of 517 passengers will replace Boeing 777-300ER on one of its two daily flights to the capital of Russia, the airline noted.
«From the date of first flight to Russia in 2003 the demand for our service was constantly increasing and now we are ready to present the world’s largest passenger jet to the world’s largest country», – said Salem Obaidalla, Emirates’ Senior Vice President, Commercial Operations, Europe & Russian Federation.
Airbus A380 aircraft intended for Moscow route has two decks offering an unmatched level of comfort: 427 seats in economy class, 76 mini-pods in business class and 14 first class private suites.
«We know that our Russian clients already had a chance to appreciate A380 when travelling from Dubai to destinations like Bangkok, Sydney and Johannesburg. And now we are presenting our flagship aircraft to the Russian market thus more passengers will be able to enjoy the comfort of this advanced liner», – Salem Obaidalla added.
Director of Moscow Domodedovo airport, said: «Domodedovo is the first and the only airport in Russia, which meets all the requirements of A380 operators. We have fully prepared to service A380 on the regular basis having purchased the unique equipment intended specially for this type of aircraft.
