Another Boeing 737-700 NG joined the fleet of Yakutia Airlines. The solemn ceremony was held at Yakutsk airport on July 23rd. The aircraft was blessed by Yakutsk and Lensk eparchy, the airline’s press-service reports. AEX.ru

“The jet will perform its first commercial flight on July 24th 14-30 (Yakutia time) from Yakutsk to Moscow. The liner (registration number – VP-BIB) will be stationed at Moscow Vnukovo airport. The carrier performs domestic and international flights from the airport”, - the company noted.

At present Yakutia’s fleet includes seven Boeing 737 aircraft, which is deemed to be the world’s most popular single-aisle jet. The first Boeing 737-700 was delivered to Yakutia in July 2009. The carrier became the third operator of this aircraft type in Russia.

Boeing 737 VP-BIB was leased from ILFC (ILFC Ireland Limited and ILFC Aircraft Limited). It is one of the world’s largest companies, which specializes on aviation leasing, founded in 1973. The company leases Boeing and Airbus aircraft. At present ILFC owns and manages more than 1000 aircraft. Over 10 Russian airlines are ILFC’s clients, the company explained.

The comfortable cabin of Boeing 737 was designed in accordance with modern standards, for example it is equipped with state-of-the-art lighting system. The requests of the customer and Yakutia’s experience in the area of the jet’s operation were taken into consideration during development of the liner’s cabin. This jet has a standard layout with 132 seats: 8 ones in business class and 124 seats – in the economy class.

“The acquisition of these advanced and efficient jets will help Yakutia expand its route network and offer new services to its passengers”, - Yakutia’s press-service declared.

The present fleet of Yakutia Airlines includes over 30 advanced aircraft, for example: Boeing 757-200s, Boeing 737NGs, Boeing 757-200Fs, Тu-154Мs, Аn-140s, Аn-24s, Аn-26s, etc.
