Kuban Airlines, one of the leading carriers of the Southern Russia, intends to take all the Yak-42 aircraft out of service in autumn 2012 in order to improve the quality of its services and increase its efficiency. The carrier will focus on operation of foreign aircraft, the airline’s press-service reports. AEX.ru
The headcount optimization of the personnel involved in the operation of Yak-42 aircraft will be carried out in accordance with the current law. The employees will have a chance to pass re-training for servicing foreign aircraft. The possibility of skill conversion of a part of personnel for working in other ground services is also being considered.
The measures for putting Yak-42s out of service and replacing them by advanced foreign aircraft are taken in the network of the carrier’s fleet renewal program intended for a period until 2016. This program offers opportunities for further investments and development of Kuban Airlines.
At present Kuban Airlines is performing regular and charter flights on 30 domestic and international routes.
