UAC secured firm orders for 46 SSJ 100 and МС-21 aircraft in the first half of 2012. A contract on delivery of 35 MC-21 aircraft was signed in the network of Engineering Technologies - 2012 international forum. Orders for SSJ 100 aircraft were placed by Interjet (Mexico), which has converted an option for 5 liners into the firm order at Farnborough International Airshow, and by Transaero (the carrier ordered six SSJ 100s) at St. Petersburg International Economic Forum. These facts demonstrate the solid growth rate of UAC’s backlog.
A number of agreements were signed with the key suppliers and partners within the framework of MC-21 program. For example, Irkut Corporation and Russian EKSAR export credit and investment agency signed a memorandum of cooperation on insurance of MC-21’s export deliveries. Several important agreements were signed with Zodiac Aerospace Group on carrying out the research and development work in the area of the aircraft’s interior and aircraft equipment along with development of primary power distribution system. Irkut Corporation, forming part of United Aircraft Corporation (UAC) and Jeppesen, the division of Boeing Flight Services, have signed a cooperation agreement for the period of 5 years in the network of MC-21 program. This document assumes the provision of Irkut Corporation with service package developed by Jeppesen.
The Corporation’s current main objective is increasing the SSJ 100 output and securing the schedule of MC-21 Family development.
