Russian and Ukrainian airlines won the tender on provision of all-cargo services for NATO

Russian and Ukrainian airlines won the tender on performing strategic air transportation for NATO in the network of SALIS program, ARMS-TASS reports.

The joint bid for the NATO’s tender was submitted on April 4th 2012 by Antonov (Ukraine) and Volga-Dnepr (Russia). The capabilities of the joint fleet of heavy transport An-124-100 Ruslan aircraft and its modifications were introduced for the tender committee’s consideration.

"Thus, Ruslan will continue to provide all-cargo services for NATO", - Antonov reported.

The alliance between Ukrainian and Russian enterprises is performing air transportation on behalf of 18 member countries of this program. An-124 aircraft have performed over 2100 flights and delivered more than 120 thousand tons of military and civil cargo to different countries during the period from March 2006 to April 2012.
