Russian Helicopters received the certificate for maintenance and repair of Turbomeca engines for Ка-226Т and Ка-62 helicopters

Russian Helicopters Holding Company forming part of Russian Technologies State Corporation received certificate allowing it to carry out maintenance and repair of Turbomeca engines, installed on Russian Ка-226Т and Ка-62 helicopters. The corresponding document was signed on June 27th 2012, the company’s press-service reports.

The document was signed by CEO of Russian Helicopters, Dmitry Petrov, and vice-president, General Director of Turbomeca, Bruno Even.

Russian Helicopters will receive the certificate from Turbomeca allowing them to carry out maintenance and repair of Arrius2G1 and Ardiden3G engines. The transfer of French technologies in this area will be implemented for the first time. These engines will be installed on Ка-226Т and Ка-62 helicopters. The deliveries of first engines are scheduled for October 2012.

The document also assumes the maintenance of Russian TV3-117 engine and its modifications (including VK-2500) by Turbomeca and its subsidiaries outside Russian Federation.

«The set-up of quality maintenance of engines will provide continuous operation of Russian engines all over the world, increase the availability of service and thus increase sales, – Dmitry Petrov said. – The agreement will help assimilate the advanced experience in the area of maintenance and repair of helicopter engines».
