Transaero, Russia’s second largest carrier, and Sukhoi Civil Aircraft (SCA) signed a firm contract on delivery of six Sukhoi Superjet 100 aircraft (base version) with an option on another 10 vehicles in the network of 16th St. Petersburg International Economic Forum. The amount of this contract is $212,4 million at list prices. It may increase up to $566,4 million in case of executing the option, the airline’s press-service reports. AEX.ru
The contract was signed by the CEO of Transaero, Olga Pleshakova, and president of United Aircraft Corporation (on behalf of SCA), Mikhail Pogosyan.
SSJ 100 aircraft will be delivered to Transaero in a two-class cabin configuration intended for transportation of 90 passengers (8 seats in business class cabin and 82 ones – in the economy class). Thedeliveriesarescheduledfor 2015-2017.
