The arrival of rare aircraft sparked interest of regional mass media. Representatives of Krasnoyarsk Region’s airlines, top-management of Yemelyanovo airport and journalists of the local TV channels have welcomed L410 UVP E-20. The ferry flight was performed by Czech crew. According to the captain, the many-hours-long flight from Czech Republic with landings in Ukraine and Russia has passed off smoothly without any problems.
Stanislav Sklenar, the captain, said: «It is the brand new aircraft manufactured in 2012 and it is very reliable. Such vehicles are wide-spread in Europe, North and South America. I am sure that it will also make a good showing in Siberia – it was tested in Yakutia under conditions of very low ambient temperature (- 58 C) so this aircraft is not afraid of frost».
Two more aircraft of the type will join the fleet of Krasavia in early July 2012. The new vwhicles will be operated on regional routes in Krasnoyarsk Region.
Nikolay Fatyanov, CEO of KrasAvia, said: «L410 UVP E-20 will perform its first revenue flight in August. We plan to operate the vehicles on the existing and renewed destinations and we will also open some new ones. Our aim is fully restore the regional route network. After assimilating and filling the aircraft in the Air Operator Certificate of KrasAvia the airline will start performing domestic flights from Krasnoyarsk to Kodinsk, Boguchani, Severo-Yeniseysk, Motigino, Shushenskoe, Baykit, Vanavaru. In addition, the acquisition of these aircraft will help connect Krasnoyarsk with neighboring cities and regions – Abakan, Kizil, Bratsk, Novokuznetsk, Barnaul and Novosibirsk».
