Tolmachevo airport has been certified for servicing Embraer 190

On the authority of Instruction of Federal Air Transport Agency, Novosibirsk airport (Tolmachevo) has been certified for servicing Embraer 190 aircraft and its modifications, the airport’s press-service reports. AEX.ru

Employees of the airport’s aviation engineering service have passed necessary training; the airport has acquired the certificate, which allows servicing this type of aircraft.

Kazakh airline – AirAstana, intends to use Embraer 190 for performing flights from Novosibirsk to Astana in addition to already operated Fokker 50 aircraft. The certification of Tolmachevo airport for servicing E190 jets will allow increasing of passenger traffic to the capital of Kazakhstan (Astana): Embraer 190 may carry 90-100 passengers while Fokker 50 – only 50 ones. Tolmachevo and AirAstana plan to open the direct service to Almaty. At present flights from Novosibirsk to Almaty are performed twice a week by S7 Airlines using Airbus A320 aircraft’, - Tolmachevo explained.
