Rossiya special aircraft division acquires the first Airbus ACJ319

Rossiya special aircraft division, which services the highest officials of the country, has acquired the first Airbus ACJ319 business-jet, Izvestiya reports.

According to a source, this Airbus Corporate Jet ACJ319 (tail number - RA-73025) left Maastricht (Netherlands) on May 19th after painting, and it has already arrived at Vnukovo-2 governmental airport.

The jet is intended for the highest officials serviced by the Rossiya special aircraft division, the press-secretary of Russian Presidential Administration (RPA), Viktor Khrekov said. Among its potential passengers are: Chairman of the State Duma, First Commoner of the Federation Council, Chief State Prosecutor, Chairman of the Investigating Committee, Minister of Foreign Affairs. The jet will not be settled on anyone personally.

«This jet is not intended for servicing president or prime-minister», — Khrekov underlined.

Prior to its first passenger flight the jet must pass the running in and other procedures specified in the regulations. It is the first of two ordered ACJ319 aircraft (the amount of the contract is 6.7 billion rubles). The second ACJ319 may also be delivered in 2012.
