United Aircraft Corporation (UAC) intends to manufacture 50 An-124 Ruslan and at least 150 An-70 aircraft in cooperation with Antonov design bureau by 2030, ARMS-TASS reports with reference to the president of the corporation, Mikhail Pogosyan.

However, the production of these liners has been ceased earlier. "We believe that the current market requires at least 75 An-124 aircraft to be modernized and repaired by 2030", - he said, adding that 35-40% of these vehicles are owned by the Russian Ministry of Defense. At that, Pogosyan noted that not only modernization and repair are assumed, but also the return to production of An-124. "And the production forecast for 2012-2030 period is 40-50 jets", - president of UAC said.

He also said that the State program in the area of arms (for the period until 2020) assumes manufacturing of more than 70 military-transport An-70 aircraft. "We believe that our backlog will allow manufacturing of at least 150 vehicles of this type", - Pogosyan noted, underlining that the potential customers are Ministries of Defense of Russia and Ukraine.

The joint committee has stated that the Ad Hoc Working Group must consider a number of issues connected with the renewal of An-124 and An-70 aircraft production during June. In particular, the procedure for transmission of An-70’s design documentation by Antonov to the Russian party should be defined. It is expected that the liners will be manufactured by Ulyanovsk aviation plant. However, it was reported earlier that An-70 will be manufactured by VASO.
