Another Boeing 737-800NG aircraft joins the fleet of S7 Airlines

S7 Airlines, member of oneworld® alliance, has put into service the new Boeing 737 800NG aircraft. AEX.ru

“The jet, painted in livery of S7 Airlines, has been delivered to Globus airline (it performs flights under brand of S7 Airlines) under lease from Los Angeles-based International Lease Finance Corp. (ILFC). The aircraft has 162 seats: 12 business-class seats and 150 – economic class seats”, press-service of S7 Airlines noted.

The jet is based at Moscow Domodedovo airport. It has already started performing flights to Novosibirsk, Norilsk, Kazan, Sochi and other cities from S7 Airlines route network. The aircraft is equipped with CFM-56-7B26 engines. It maximum range is 5600 km, maximum takeoff weight – 79 tons. It is the seventh Boeing 737-800NG in the airline’s fleet. Another two jets should be acquired in June 2012.

“S7 Airlines has one of the most modern and “young” fleets in Russia. The average age of the carrier’s aircraft is 8 years. S7 Airlines uses aircraft from the leading airframers – Airbus and Boeing. The fleet of S7 Airlines includes 48 aircrafts: 20 Airbus A319s, 14 Airbus A320s, one Airbus A310, two long-haul Boeing 767-300s, four Boeing 737-400s and seven Boeing 737-800NGs.
