Aeroflot has put the eighth Sukhoi SuperJet 100 named after E. Barabash into operation

Aeroflot – Russian Airlines has put the eighth Sukhoi SuperJet 100 (SSJ-100) into operation. The liner was named after the honored pilot, Evgeniy Petrovich Barabash, the airline’s press-service reports. AEX.ru

“Sukhoi SuperJet 100 (serial number 95014) has been delivered to Aeroflot in accordance with the contract with VEB-Leasing on financial leasing of the aircraft. The delivered aircraft is intended for transportation of 87 passengers in a comfortable two-class cabin (12 seats in the business-class and 75 – in the economy class). The jet’s range is 2400 km. Aeroflot ordered 30 SSJ-100s”, - Aeroflot noted.

Aeroflot is operating Sukhoi SuperJet 100 short-haul aircraft on domestic and international routes. These aircraft will be performing regular flights from Sheremetyevo to St. Petersburg, Kazan, Nizhny Novgorod, Ufa, Astrakhan, Chelyabinsk, Perm, Volgograd, Minsk, Samara, Orenburg, Nizhnekamsk, Vilnius, Donetsk, Dnepropetrovsk, Copenhagen, Bucharest, Sofia and Krakow. SSJ-100 will start flying to Nizhnevartovsk in late May and to Odessa, Kharkov and Drezden - in June, the airline explained.

SSJ100 aircraft are becoming an important part of our fleet, one of the Europe’s youngest and advanced fleets», - the airline’s press-service noted.
