The certification of new medium Mi-38 helicopter is scheduled for 2015, ARMS-TASS reports. It was declared by the CEO of Russian Helicopters Holding Company, Dmitry Petrov.
According to him, two prototypes of Mi-38 have been assembled and two more are under construction. The second test helicopter is undergoing factory and certification tests with Canadian engines at the moment. However, the testing of Mi-38 with Russian TV-7-117V engines should be started in summer.
The serial production of Mi-38 will be carried out by Kazan Helicopters.
"We believe that this vehicle will spark a great interest at the market", - Petrov noted.
