Another aircraft equipped with Perm PS-90A engines has joined the fleet of Rossiya special aircraft division (SAD) of Department for Presidental Affairs of RF, press-service of Perm Engine Company (PEC) reports. AEX.ru

"This time Tu-214SUS (airborne communication center) with tail number of RA-64524 has been delivered to the customer – it is the 11th aircraft from Тu-204/214 Family in the Rossiya’s fleet. Thus, the total number of jets equipped with PS-90A engines in the fleet of Rossiya special aircraft division has reached 16 ones", - press-service of PEC reports.

One more Tu-214 will be delivered to the Department for Presidental Affairs in 2012.

The basic Tu-214 is the modification of medium-haul Tu-204 with the extended takeoff weight (110.8 tons). Тu-214PU (control point), Тu-214SUS (airborne communication center) and Ту-214SR (radio relay aircraft) are the special aircraft intended for Presidental Administration. The jets are equipped with special communications equipment.

All the liners are equipped with advanced flight and navigation equipment. The PS-90A engines comply with international regulations on noise and emission.

Alexey Mikhalev, Managing Director of Perm Engine Company, said: “The principles of Perm Engine Company include tight quality control, methodical work on improvement of our engines’ operation factors. Following these principles, we have been manufacturing engines for jets operated on behalf of the country’s top officials for more than 10 years”.

According to the order of Department for Presidental Affairs of RF, Perm Engine Company should deliver 7 PS-90A engines to the airframers in 2012, PEC noted.
