Proton-M rocket carrier with Briz-M upper-stage rocket intended for placing YaSat-1B communications spacecraft into orbit has been successfully launched from Baikonur’s launch site 200 in 02:18 Moscow time on April 24th, the press-service of Roscosmos reports. AEX.ru

In accordance with the flight sequence the upper stage, including Briz-M upper stage rocket and YaSat-1B communications spacecraft has separated from the third stage of the rocket carrier. The upper stage rocket has continued placing the satellite into orbit after the separation.

The separation of spacecraft from the upper-stage rocket was scheduled for 11:30 Moscow time April 24th.
