AEX.ru

«The testing with the participation of SSJ100 aircraft (serial number 95005) has been carried out on April 12th – 19th in Russian Tiksi airport, located on parallel 71,7 northern latitude», - SCA noted.

According to the test program the jet has performed 11 flights including non-stop flight from Ramenskoye to Tiksi (its total distance was 4300 km), eight check flights from Tiksi and the return flight on route: Tiksi-Krasnoyarsk-Ramenskoye. The jet’s crew was formed by SCA’s test-pilot, Sergey Korostiev, test-pilot of GosNII GA, expert of AR IAC, Mikhail Totokhiv, SCA’s test-aeronavigator, Oleg Shvetsov, and the representatives of certification bodies.

«The proper work of avionics, first of all the inertial navigation system and satellite navigation systems (GPS and GLONASS), in high northern latitudes has been confirmed during flights (up to 78о).  The testing report is currently being elaborated. It will become the motive for issuing the supplement to the SSJ 100 Type Certificate by AR IAC», - SCA said.

Such an enhancement of aircraft’s operating conditions is required by Yakutia airline, which intends to acquire two SSJ 100s this year. The jets will be performing flights to airports of Arctic Region.
