Aeroflot – Russian Airlines has acquired Airbus А330-300. The aircraft has been named after Ilya Mikhailovich Frank, the Soviet physicist, Nobel laureate, the airline’s press-service reports. AEX.ru
“Thus, Aeroflot’s fleet includes 17 long-haul A-330 family jets. Aeroflot has acquired the jet from CEGAS under the conditions of operational leasing”, - the airline explained.
А330-300s are delivered to Aeroflot directly from airframer’s site. The aircraft has a range of 10500 km. Its capacity is 296 passengers. The jets are equipped with Rolls-Royce Trent 772В engines.
“Aeroflot has acquired this А330-300 in a two-class cabin configuration: 28 seats in business-class and 268 – in the economy-class. The new jets are prepared for installation of equipment providing an access to internet and mobile services for the passengers. А330 aircraft is equipped with state-of-the-art Panasonic eX2 in-flight entertainment system, the passengers of every class have an access to a new entertainment program”, - Aeroflot explained.
"A 330 wide-bodies provide a high level of comfort enabling usage of chair configuration and classes of service able to meet different passengers’ requirements. I.Frank is the fourth aircraft with a renewed business-class cabin. It is equipped with comfortable B/E Minipod Full-Flat chairs made by B/E Aerospace. The seat pitch has been increased’, - the carrier’s press-service said.
Aeroflot intends to operate this А330 on routes to New York, Beijing and Vladivostok in the network of Summer-2012 schedule.
