VEB-Leasing (subsidiary of Vnesheconombank) and Transaero have signed a cooperation agreement in Paris in the presence of ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary of Russian Federation in France, Alexander Orlov, and Airbus Executive Vice-President, Europe, Asia and Pacific Region, Christopher Buckley, Transaero’s press-service reports. The Chairman of Vnesheconombank, Vladimir Dmitriev, has signed the document per procuration on the part of VEB-Leasing and on the part of Transaero the document has been signed by the carrier’s CEO, Olga Pleshakova.
"In accordance with the agreement, VEB-Leasing will act as the organizer and supervisor of the project on financing the acquisition of four Airbus A380 aircraft by Transaero. The jets will be delivered to the carrier under conditions of long-term financial leasing. The project’s total value is assessed at $1576 million at list prices", - the airline explained.
"The implementation of the agreement will help renew and modernize the fleet of the Russian carrier and will allow Transaero to become the launch customer of the world’s largest passenger aircraft Airbus A380 in Russia", - the airline’s press-service stated.
