Chelyabinsk international airport has been certified for servicing Boeing 777 aircraft and its modifications, the airport’s press-service reports. The corresponding instruction has been signed in March 2012 by the head of Federal Air Transport Agency, Alexander Neradko. AEX.ru
A great preliminary work has been completed by the Chelyabinsk airport in order to prepare for servicing Boeing 777. The work on expansion and fortification of apron’s margin, installation of special power-supply sources for first class aircraft has already been completed last autumn. The enterprise has acquired special equipment for maintenance of these jets and performed training of its maintenance personnel.
We remind you that OrenAir has initiated the certification. The airline intends to perform flights from Chelyabinsk to Thailand using Boeing 777 in winter 2012-2013.
