Aeroflot has put the seventh Sukhoi SuperJet 100 into operation

Aeroflot – Russian Airlines has put the seventh Sukhoi SuperJet 100 (SSJ-100) into operation. It has been named after Georgy Stanislavovich Benkunsky, the honored pilot, veteran of the Second World War, who has been working in civil aviation for 40 years, Aeroflot’s press-service reports. AEX.ru

“Sukhoi SuperJet 100 (serial number 95016) has been delivered to Aeroflot in accordance with the contract with VEB-Leasing on financial leasing of the aircraft. The delivered aircraft is intended for transportation of 87 passengers in a comfortable two-class cabin (12 seats in the business-class and 75 – in the economy class)”, - the company noted.

Aeroflot is operating Sukhoi SuperJet 100 short-haul aircraft on domestic and international routes. The number of routes, serviced by SSJ-100 has been significantly increased in the summer schedule. These aircraft will be performing regular flights from Sheremetyevo to St. Petersburg, Kazan, Nizhny Novgorod, Ufa, Astrakhan, Chelyabinsk, Perm, Volgograd, Minsk, Samara, Orenburg, Nizhnekamsk, Vilnius, Donetsk, Copenhagen and Bucharest. The SSJ-100 will start performing flights to Krakow and Dnepropetrovsk in April 2012 and to Odessa, Kharkov and Nizhnevartovsk – on June 1st.
