Aeroflot is the full member of this alliance (the world’s second largest aviation alliance since 2006). According to the rules of SkyTeam, every full member of it should have at least two aircraft with the alliance livery in its fleet. According to the Requirements for the participants, 3% of the airlines’ fleet should wear the SkyTeam’s livery. These indicators are part of working standards for painting of liners in all the global alliances: OneWorld and Star Alliance. The operation of liners wearing the alliance’s livery by different carriers symbolizes the unity of SkyTeam airlines’ purposes and aspirations. Aeroflot has been operating А330-300 (tail number VQ-BCQ) with SkyTeam livery since 2009. SSJ-100 is the first Russian aircraft with SkyTeam livery, the airline noted.
Sukhoi SuperJet 100 (serial number 95015) has been delivered to Aeroflot in accordance with the contract with VEB-Leasing on financial leasing of the aircraft. The delivered aircraft is intended for transportation of 87 passengers in a comfortable two-class cabin (12 seats in the business-class and 75 – in the economy class). Aeroflot is operating Sukhoi SuperJet 100 short-haul aircraft on domestic and international routes. These aircraft will be performing regular flights from Sheremetyevo to St. Petersburg, Kazan, Nizhny Novgorod, Ufa, Yekaterinburg, Astrakhan, Chelyabinsk, Perm, Volgograd, Anapa, Minsk, Oslo, Budapest and Samara.
«Thanks to SSJ-100 aircraft, Aeroflot has the possibility of implementing one of the key areas of its strategy of building a global network company and strengthening its leading position at the domestic market. SSJ100 aircraft are becoming an important part of our fleet, one of the Europe’s youngest and advanced fleets. Aeroflot has ordered 30 SSJ-100s», - the airline’s press-service noted.
