Irkut Corporation is open to the possibility of cooperation with Embraer in the network of MS-21 project

Irkut Corporation is open to the possibility of cooperation with all the interested foreign partners in the network of MS-21 project, including the famous Brazilian airframer – Embraer, RIA Novosti Sibir reports with reference to Vladimir Sautov, vice-president on marketing and external communication of Irkut Corporation. It has been declared during FIDAE-2012 air show (Chile).

"Yes, we are open to the cooperation with foreign partners, including this airframer. At present the concept of the aircraft has almost been formed, the fourth design stage is underway and some changes may take place but they will not be significant", - Sautov said.

Speaking of completion date for MS-21 project, Sautov noted that some changes are also possible but the first jet will be ready in 2014, as planned.

"At first we were guided by other dates but now we understand that some changes are possible as with Boeing 787 Dreamliner. Nevertheless we intend to assemble the first jet in 2014”.
