“Regionalny Logistichesky Center” (RLC) intends to build the logistic center priced at more than $17 mln (500 million rubles) in Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk. It will be the largest object in this region, Interfax reports.
As reported by one of the founders of RLC, Nikolay Artemenko, the construction of the logistic center should be started in spring 2013. "We believe that the project’s feasibility study, which is being elaborated by Concent Logic (Moscow), will be completed in August 2012. And then we will need 4-5 months to complete the architectural engineering and acquisition of licenses. We hope that we will start the construction in spring 2013", - he said.
The construction will take 1,5-2 years. The preliminary cost of the object (excluding the creation of infrastructure around the logistic center) is more than 500 million rubles, N. Artemenko noted. The project will be financed by means of founders’ own funds, private investors and bank credits.
The land plot with an area of 10 hectares located in Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk near the “Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk” international airport has been allocated for the construction. It is also located near the railway branch.
It is planned to construct the following facilities at the territory of the center: storage with an area of 50 000 square meters, office premises, where the bank department, insurance company, customs post, quarantine service and other organizations may be located. Besides, it is planned to construct the individual wholesale trade center for the region’s community. The designers have offered to create a production at the center’s territory in order to provide the stable load of the storage.
"We may establish some kind of production, for example we may manufacture compound feed or packages. Now we will start looking for companies, which are interested in establishing their production at our territory ", - N. Artemenko said.
Negotiations with Sakhalin wholesale dealers (about 30 companies) and fishery managers, which would be able to store, process and sell their cargo on the center’s basis, are currently underway.
The implementation of this project is supported by Sakhalin Region government and town-hall of Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk due to severe shortage of storage space in the regional center.
“Regionalny Logistichesky Center” has been founded by 5 physical persons.
