Russian Helicopters Holding Company, forming part of Oboronprom Corporation, has delivered the multi-role Ka-32A11BC helicopter with coaxial rotors to Brazilian operator - Helipark Taxi Aereo, the holding’s press-service reports. AEX.ru
The delivery of Ka-32A11BC has been carried out strictly in accordance with the contract signed in December 2010. Acquisition of Kа-32A11BC is Helipark Taxi Aereo's pilot project on expansion of helicopters model range and the first order of these helicopters by Brazilian operators.
Atlas Taxi Aereo has purchased two Russian transport Mi-171A1 helicopters in November 2010. The vehicles have the Brazilian certificate for operation on behalf of Petrobras oil and gas company.
Ka-32A11BC will be used for commercial transportation of suspended load in hard-to-reach regions of Brazil located in the Amazon river basin. The helicopter may also be taking part in building operations aimed at development of country’s infrastructure in the network of preparation for FIFA World Football Cup 2014 and Olympics 2016.

At present Kа-32A11BC is certified in the world’s largest regions: North and South America, Europe and Asia. In particular, the helicopter has received the type certificate in Brazil and India (2011), in Europe (2009, EASA.IM.R.133 certificate). Kа-32A11BC has been certified in China, Indonesia and South Korea in 2008, in Chile (2007) and in Mexico – in 2005. The helicopter has acquired a supplement to the type certificate in Canada in 2006, which allowed transportation of official passengers (the original certificate has been issued by Canada in 1998).
Ka-32A11BC is a multi-role version of Kа-32A helicopter. The vehicle may be used for transportation of suspended loads and as a flying crane helicopter for mounting of high-rise constructions. The coaxial arrangement of Ka-32A11BC gives it several significant advantages in the area of hovering precision and helicopter’s maneuverability, thus the vehicle is able to perform complex mounting operations. Ka-32A11BC is able to perform a wide range of tasks, including horizontal high-altitude fire-fighting using water cannon.
The Ka-32A11BC helicopter may be seen at FIDAE 2012 show, where Russian Helicopters Holding Company has presented advanced Russian helicopters intended for operation in hot humid and highland climate of South and Central America. At stand D41 the visitors may get acquainted with multi-role Ka-32A11BC and Мi-171А1, light Ka-226Т, «Аnsаt», Mi-34S1, heavy Мi-26Т helicopters and also they may obtain information on the holding’s advanced projects: Ka-62, Мi-171А2, Мi-38 and Мi-26Т2.
