A group of German and American inspectors will perform survey flight above Belarus and Russia using Swedish Saab-340B aircraft in the network of international Open Skies Treaty during the period from March 26th to March 30th, press-service of Russian Ministry of Defense reports. AEX.ru
The flight will be performed from Kubinka airfield and its maximum range will be 5500 km. Saab-340B aircraft is not intended for using any weapons. Its onboard surveillance equipment has passed all the necessary international inspections with the participation of Russian specialists, the ministry noted.
Russian and Belarusian specialists will jointly control the usage of surveillance equipment and implementation of arrangements reached on board of the Russian aircraft.
