The presentation of the certificate of conformity of quality management system (QMS) has taken part in the head office of Russian Helicopters, press-service of Russian Helicopters reports. AEX.ru

The work on development and implementation of QMS was being carried out during last two years. The certification body - Autonomous nonprofit organization “Institute for testing and certification of weapons and military equipment” (ANO “InIS VVT”) has carried out the certification audit of QMS on compliance with the requirements of the defensive standard GOST RV 15.002-2003, which includes the requirements of GOST R ISO 9001 and international aerospace standard AS/EN 9100С, in the “Voenny Registr” voluntary certification system.

The certificate has been presented by the CEO of ANO “InIS VVT”, Igor Zhivotkevich, which has also given some recommendations on provision of good results in the area of QMS.

CEO of Russian Helicopters, Dmitry Petrov, noted that the successful completion of certification process is very important for strengthening the company’s business reputation. He has also underlined the role of QMS in the holding management and improvement in the quality of company’s production. Petrov told about further plans on development and improvement of QMS.

The Plan for refining the QMS of enterprises forming part of Russian Helicopters is in force in the holding. The holding’s top-management believes that today the QMS, which meets the requirements of AS 9100/EN 9100С (GOST R ЕN 9100-2011) standard, is the indispensable condition for developers and manufacturers of helicopters, their components and materials.

At present Russian Helicopters have formed the QMS, which helps in dealing with the assigned tasks. It assumes the solving of strategic problems and operative management for taking corrective and preventive actions.
