Jet Transfer, the official representative of Cessna Aircraft in Russia and Kazakhstan, has signed a contract with State Transport Leasing Company (STLC) on delivery of 15 Cessna 208B Grand Caravan aircraft, the company’s press-service reports. AEX.ru
Cessna 208B Grand Caravan is the low-maintenance, advanced and reliable aircraft, which perfectly suits the Russian operational conditions with significant seasonal temperature differentials, various natural climatic conditions and poor development of aerodrome network in outlying regions. These unique features of Cessna Caravan make it indispensable for corporate flights, passenger and cargo transportation between the administrative centers and outlying regions.
«At present it is the largest purchase of aircraft for commuter operations in Russia, - STLC reports, - State Transport Leasing Company intends to lease the aircraft in the network of state subsidization".
«It is the long-awaited decree. The decree gives a perfect opportunity for acquisition of aircraft with compensation of some part of their cost for many airlines, which are going to provide regional services, - Alexander Evdokimov, CEO of Jet Transfer, said. – We believe that signing of the contract on delivery of 15 aircraft is the remarkable event for Russian operators. Partnership with STLC opens new prospects for development of regional aviation in our country».
«We have been cooperating closely with our official representative in Russia - Jet Transfer and STLC during last two years in order to understand the requirements of Russian operators and to provide a package of services, which would satisfy them in full, – said Pana Poulios, Director on Sales in Europe, Russia and CIS Region, Cessna, - the possibilities for deliveries are impressive and we believe that the fleet of Caravans in Russia will expand soon».
The deliveries of the aircraft to the customers will be carried out in two stages. 8 aircraft will be delivered in 2012 and 7 more – in 2013. It is planned to open several maintenance centers for Caravans and create an on-site stock of parts in Russia by 2013.
