Rossiya – Russian Airlines has started retrofitting An-148 aircraft’s cabin. The jets intended for regional routes will now have only economy class cabin with 75 seats in order to increase the operational efficiency of the aircraft, the airline’s press-service reports. AEX.ru

The construction of Аn-148-100V allows transporting of 68 - 83 passengers. The modifying of the layout from 68 seats to 75 ones has been foreseen by the Rossiya airline and it will not affect the level of comfort. The seat pitch will remain the same - 812 mm. The single class cabin will still have the comfortable chairs made of genuine leather, installed in two rows (blocks of two and three chairs respectively).

New Аn-148 aircraft have been operated by Rossiya since 2009. Now they are performing flights on 33 destinations. The jet’s range is 3500 km, cruising speed - 870 km/h.

Rossiya intends to complete the retrofit of 6 An-148s by the end of this year.
