The State Transport Leasing Company has signed a firm contract on delivery of 15 Cessna 208B Grand Caravan aircraft

The State Transport Leasing Company (STLC) has signed a firm contract on delivery of 15 Cessna 208B Grand Caravan aircraft with an option for another 15 vehicles of this type. At present it is the largest contract on delivery of short-haul regional aircraft in Russia, press-service of STLC reports. AEX.ru

The turboprops will be delivered in two batches: 8 ones in 2012 and 7 – in 2013.

The State Transport Leasing Company intends to lease the aircraft in the network of state subsidization intended for compensating part of expenditures connected with aircraft lease payments, which applies to leasing agreements signed after January 1st 2012.

«Cessna 208B Grand Caravan aircraft fully meet the requirements for state subsidization of Russian airlines from the federal budget. The turboprop is intended for transportation of 9 passengers or 1 ton of cargo. It has a unique aircraft performance, it is easy-to-operate, it may perform flights in severe environment and use unpaved short runways. Cessna 208B Grand Caravan is certified for operation in Russia», - the company noted.
