The third World aerial aerobatics Yak-52 championship will be taking place in Bolshoe Grizlovo, Serpukhov District from June 23rd to June 30th at FINAM airfield. AEX.ru
The aerial aerobatics world championship is the remarkable event for aerial sports. Our country has started the history of world championships in Yak-52 category; however the championship will take place in Moscow Region for the first time.
The first world aerobatic Yak-52 championship has taken place in Novosibirsk in 2008. 25 pilots from 7 countries have taken part in it. Anton Berkutov (Russia) has won that championship. The second aerial aerobatics world championship in Yak-52 category has taken place in Lithuania and Russian sportsmen have won it. Alexander Myakishev became the all-round champion. Team Russia has also won in team contest in both championships.
More than 10 countries are going to take part in the 3rd world aerobatic Yak-52 championship in Moscow. The best sportsmen will compete to win the all-round champion title, demonstrating the flawless skills and outstanding results.
It is expected that many specialists, journalists, celebrities and spectators will visit the world championship. Russia is the acknowledged leader in aerial sports, but it is not only sport event but also the remarkable event for the country’s cultural life.
There are four parts in the competition program: mandatory, arbitrary and 2 “dark” ones. All the pilotage is performed in a limited space. Boundary faults result in penalty points. Since all the sportsmen use the same type of aircraft (Yak-52), skill becomes the most important factor. The pilot with a maximum number of points after all four parts becomes the all-round champion.
