Tu-204SM manufactured by Ulyanovsk aviation plant, has passed the low-temperature testing

Tu-204SM aircraft manufactured by Ulyanovsk aviation plant has passed the low-temperature testing, press-service of Ulyanovsk Region governor reports. AEX.ru

The testing of Tu-204SM has been carried out in Yakutsk, republic of Sakha.

The testing has been performed under control of specialists from Zhukovsky flight test base. In addition, specialists from GosNII GA and GosNII “Aeronavigatsiya”. 12 flights at the ambient temperature of -450C has been performed during 10 days. The testing has been completed successfully: all the equipment, systems and engines of Tu-204SM have been working in accordance with claimed parameters and airworthiness codes.

The jet will be delivered to the territory of Aviastar-SP in the third decade of March. It will undergo further development in accordance with type design and following the results of certification testing.

The second Tu-204SМ is finishing the main certification program. At present the jet is deployed in Zhukovsky.

Тu-204SМ will have to complete three more special programs: high-temperature testing (up to +450C), high-altitude flight tests (up to 3000 meters above the sea level) and tests to determine the compliance to ICAO Category 3 – flights under limited visibility conditions. All the certification tests and acquisition of type certificate should be performed by the end of 2012.
