The certification audit of SaM146 engines’ serial production has been carried by the representatives of European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) at the enterprises of NPO Saturn, the company’s press-service reports. AEX.ru
The third certification audit by the EU aviation authorities is the final stage of certification of SaM146 engines production in accordance with EASA requirements (Part 21). According to the EASA auditors, the results of the audit will allow acquisition of certificate on approval of NPO Saturn production organization in the nearest future.
The EASA certification of SaM146 engines’ production will help NPO Saturn provide safe operation of these engines in the EU airspace.
Marc Ventre, COO of Safran Group, has congratulated the managing director of NPO Saturn, Ilya Fedorov, on successful completion of EASA certification.
