Aeroflot – Russian Airlines has acquired the 20th Airbus A321. At present the airline’s fleet includes 78 А319/320/321 Family aircraft (the jets’ average age is 4.2 years), the airline’s press-service reports. AEX.ru
The aircraft has been named after outstanding Soviet scientist, one of the founders of chemical physics and theory of chain chemical processes, the only Soviet Nobel laureate in the area of chemistry, Nikolay Nikolaevich Semenov. The jet has been acquired in the network of contract signed in 2007 by Aeroflot and Airbus.
All the Airbus jets are delivered to Aeroflot directly from airframer’s site. The cabin of the aircraft has two-class configuration with 116 (А319), 140 (А320) and 170 (А321) seats. Aeroflot is operating А320 family aircraft for European and domestic routes. Aeroflot is among the world leaders by the indicators of operating reliability and actual flight time, the carrier’s press-service noted.
