S7 Airlines (member of oneworld® alliance), has acquired new Airbus A320. The ceremony of aircraft delivery has taken place in Toulouse (France) on February 7th. The liner has been leased from Air Lease Corporation. It is the first aircraft for the new leasing company, as for Airbus – it is the 5001st delivery of A320 aircraft. AEX.ru

А320 Family aircraft form the basis of S7 Airlines’ fleet. The new liner is the 30th one from A320 Family in the fleet of S7 Airlines. The total number of jets in the airline’s fleet has reached 43 ones. According to the delivery schedule, two more A320s will be delivered to the airline in February, one more – in April and two more – in May.
Airbus А320 is the advanced single-aisle aircraft with a spacious cabin and hatracks. It has 158 seats – 8 in business class and 150 in the economy one. The cabin is equipped with advanced chairs made by Recaro (Germany), which provide the highest level of comfort. The A320 Family is recognized as the benchmark single-aisle aircraft family. More than 8,300 A320 Family aircraft have already been ordered and almost 5000 delivered to more than 340 customers and operators worldwide reaffirming its position as the world’s best-selling single-aisle aircraft family.
The aircraft feature the latest technology available today, the widest and most comfortable cabin, and the highest degree of operational commonality. With 99.7% reliability and extended servicing periods, the A320 Family has the lowest operating costs of any single-aisle aircraft today. Each aircraft features fly by wire controls and all share a unique cockpit and operational commonality across the range.

The new Airbus A320 will be based at Moscow Domodedovo airport. It will perform flights to Irkutsk, Novosibirsk, Munich, Innsbruck and other cities from the route network of S7 Airlines. At present S7 Airlines has one of the most advanced and “young” fleets in Russia. It includes 43 aircraft: 20 Airbus A319s, ten Airbus A320s, one Airbus A310, two long-haul Boeing 767-300s, four Boeing 737-400s and six Boeing 737-800NGs. The airline plans to acquire 23 more A320 Family aircraft in the next 5 years.
