Russia will allocate $100 million for maintenance of helicopters in Afghanistan in 2012

The government of Russian Federation has allocated $100 million for maintenance of helicopters in Afghanistan in 2012. The corresponding instruction has been included in the bank of normative and administrative acts, Rosbalt reports.

These funds are allocated as an optional contribution to the trust fund of Russia – NATO council “for assistance in training of maintenance personnel for Mi-17 and Mi-35 helicopters owned by Afghan army and deliveries of spare parts for these vehicles".

The funds will be allocated by Russian Ministry of Finance and contributed by Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russian Federation.
