Center for Analysis of World Arms Trade (CAWAT) has published another forecast on deliveries of new multi-role fighters. According to CAWAT, the share of “Su” fighters in the monetary volume of world export in 2012-2015 will be 15,2% and quantitatively - 19,9%. The total volume of export of new multi-role fighters in 2012-2015 is assessed at 548 ones (total value - $35,77 billion), press-service of Sukhoi Company reports. AEX.ru
According to CAWAT’s calculations, the export volume of new fighters will be almost the same for all market’s leading companies: Sukhoi, Lockheed Martin (USA) and Chengdu (China) in 2012-2015. The projected deliveries of Sukhoi Company are 109 jets, Lockheed Martin (F-16, F-35) – 110 ones, Chengdu (J-7, JF-17) – 112 ones.
Sukhoi Company comes in third by cost parameter in 2012-2015 period with the volume of $5,45 billion being inferior to Lockheed Martin ($9,13 billion) and Eurofighter consortium ($5,91 billion).
All-in-all Sukhoi will come in first during the period of 8 years (2008-2015) by quantitative indicators of export of new fighters – 280 vehicles, said CAWAT. Lockheed Martin will come in second with 223 jets and Chengdu will come in third with 179 ones.
During the period from 2008 to 2015 Sukhoi will come in third by monetary volume with $12,73 billion being inferior to Lockheed Martin ($15,65 billion) and Boeing ($13,3 billion).
Only deliveries of new vehicles in accordance with signed contracts, licensed programs and planned deliveries on claimed programs, where an advanced stage has been reached during negotiations and the preliminary schedule of deliveries may be calculated, have been taken into account during estimation of market of new fighters. Only export orders (licensed programs) have been taken into account for all the world exporters of fighters. The deliveries for domestic market are not considered. Deliveries of jets owned by the armed forces of the exporting countries and export modernization programs are also not considered.
