The order backlog of Irkut Corporation, forming part of United Aircraft Corporation, has exceeded $6 billion. It has been reported by ARMS-TASS with reference to president of Irkut Corporation, Alexey Fedorov.
"The total value of the Corporation’s backlog is $6,1 billion", - he said.
"According to preliminary estimates, the earnings of Irkut Corporation exceeded $1,6 billion last year", - he added. It almost matches the figures of 2010, when the Corporation’s earnings were $1,67 in accordance with IFRS.
At present the company has a share of 15% in Russian export of arms. The Corporation delivers Su-30MK fighters, operated by India, Algeria and Malaysia. Firm contracts on delivery of 300 Su-30MK aircraft and knock-down kits have been signed in 1996-2010 period. Over 200 of them have already been delivered to the customers.
The contract on delivery of 55 Yak-130 operational trainers to Russian air forces until 2015 has been signed in December 2011. The acquisition of 65 Yak-130s is assumed by State program in the area of arms for 2011-2020.
The export deliveries of Yak-130 aircraft have been started in 2011. The first 16 jets have been delivered to Algeria. Precontractual negotiations on deliveries of the operational trainers to several countries are currently underway. The market capacity for Yak-130 in the mid-term prospect is assessed at 250 vehicles.
The Corporation is manufacturing Be-200 amphibian aircraft, delivered to EMERCOM of Russia. At present EMERCOM operates 6 Be-200ChS and six more will be delivered by 2014. The active promotion of the aircraft at the global market is currently underway.
Irkut is developing next-generation MS-21 civil aircraft, which is the top-priority project of Russian aircraft industry in the civil aircraft segment.
The Corporation has also been manufacturing components for Airbus A320 Family aircraft since 2008 in the network of international cooperation.
