Perm Engine Company (PEC) signed a contract with Department of Presidential Affairs of Equatorial Guinea on delivery of PS-90A-76 engines, the enterprise’s press-service reports. AEX.ru
"These engines are intended for re-engining of the currently operated Il-76 transport aircraft. Its upgrade to Il-76TD-90 version will be carried out by Tashkent Aviation Production Association named after V. P. Chkalov (TAPOiCh)", - the press-service noted.
In accordance with the contract the delivery of PS-90А-76 engines is scheduled for the first quarter of 2013. The first flight of the upgraded aircraft will take place in November and the first vehicle will be delivered to the customer in the fourth quarter of 2013.
Chief Commercial Officer of Perm Engine Company, Oleg Korolev, said: "Equatorial Guinea is the seventh operator of engines manufactured by PEC. It also made the list of countries, which have chosen PEC’s engines for servicing their top officials. PS-90А-76 has already confirmed during operation its operating characteristics and efficiency of Il-76 aircraft powered by this type of engines".
