Aeroflot has put Airbus А330 named after L. Kantorovich into operation

Aeroflot – Russian Airlines has taken the delivery of Airbus А330-300. The aircraft was named after Leonid Vitalievich Kantorovichm, the Soviet mathematician and economist, one of the founders of linear programming, the airline’s press-service reports. AEX.ru

“Thus, Aeroflot’s fleet comprises 22 long-haul A-330 family jets. This is one of 11 A330-300 jets ordered by Aeroflot directly from Airbus in 2010. А330-300s are delivered to Aeroflot directly from airframer’s site. The aircraft has a range of 8100 km (with a maximum payload). Its capacity is 296 passengers. The jets are equipped with Rolls-Royce Trent 772В engines”, - the airline explained. 

The new liner acquired by Aeroflot has a two-class cabin configuration: 28 seats in business-class and 268 – in the economy-class. The new jets are prepared for installation of equipment providing an access to internet and mobile services for the passengers.А330 aircraft is equipped with state-of-the-art Panasonic eX2 in-flight entertainment system, the passengers of every class have an access to a new entertainment program.

"A330 wide-bodies provide a high level of comfort enabling usage of chair configuration and classes of service able to meet different passengers’ requirements. L. Kantorovich is the ninth aircraft with a renewed business-class cabin. It is equipped with comfortable B/E Minipod Full-Flat chairs made by B/E Aerospace. The seat pitch has been increased’, - the carrier’s press-service said.
