Airbus A320 aircraft arrived at St. Petersburg Pulkovo airport on December 15th. The aircraft was delivered in accordance with the operating lease agreement signed by Rossiya – Russian Airlines and CIT Aerospace, the carrier’s press-service reports. AEX.ru
"Airbus A320 (tail number EI-EYS) is the 20th Airbus aircraft operated by the carrier. A total of five Airbus aircraft have joined the fleet of Rossiya in 2012: 3 A319s and 2 A320s”, - said in the airline’s statement.
The aircraft have been ordered in the network of the carrier’s fleet renewal program.
Rossiya – Russian Airlines completed the removal from operation of Boeing 737-500 jets in late November 2012. Five Boeing 737-500 aircraft have been returned to ILFC by maturity of the corresponding contract.
At present Rossiya – Russian Airlines is operating the following aircraft types: Airbus A319/320, Boeing 767-300, An-148. The carrier’s fleet includes 29 jets.
Next year the airline intends to take the delivery of five more Airbus aircraft under conditions of operating leasing, the carrier noted.
