The fourth PAK FA prototype performed its maiden flight on December 12th 2012 at the airfield of Komsomolsk-on-Amur Aircraft Production Association named after Y.A. Gagarin (KnAAPO) forming part of Sukhoi Holding Company, the enterprise’s press-service reports. AEX.ru
"The jet was piloted by the Honored test-pilot, Hero of Russia, Sergey Bogdan. The duration of flight was 40 minutes. The flight was successfully performed fully in accordance with the flight plan. The aircraft steadiness and the work of engine systems have been evaluated during the flight. The aircraft has demonstrated good results at all the stages of the planned flight test program. The pilot was satisfied with the reliability of all systems and equipment", - the press-service noted.
PAK FA performed its maiden flight on January 29th 2010 in Komsomolsk-on-Amur. The ground and flight testing of its prototypes is underway. Three jets are taking part in the testing. Over 200 flights have already been performed in the network of PAK FA’s flight test program.
