The anti-ballistic missiles system intended for protecting the central industrial district, including Moscow, will be complemented by the new elements soon, RIA Novosti reports.

"We have a number of facilities to protect and we are doing our job. There are new solutions and new technologies and I believe that they can be implemented pretty fast. You may get more information about it soon", — the Deputy Minister of Defense, General-Colonel, Oleg Ostapenko, said.

The anti-ballistic missiles system of Moscow (A-135) is intended for repelling a limited ballistic attack against Russian capital and the central industrial district. The development of А-135 was started in 1971 and the system was put into service in 1995. As of today the long-range ABM interceptor missiles have been taken out of service and their launch silos have been put in prolonged storage.
