The meeting of prime-minister Dmitry Medvedev and president of Laos Choummaly Sayasone was held on November 5th 2012 in the network of the 9th summit of Asia-Europe Meeting forum held in Laos. During the meeting Dmitry Medvedev noted that the relations between Laos and Russia are making good headway and the arrangements reached are strengthening the partnership between Russia and Laos.
«For example, Sukhoi Civil Aircraft (SCAC) and Lao Central Airlines (Laos) have signed a contract on delivery of 3 SSJ100s (deliveries are to be completed by 2014) with an option on six more liners in May 2011. At that the export financing in the network of this contract is provided by VEB-leasing», - the press-service noted.
According to SCAC, the validation of Sukhoi SuperJet 100 (RRJ-95B) type certificate by the aviation authorities of Laos is scheduled for 2012. The validated type certificate will confirm that SSJ100 meets the certification requirements of Lao aviation authorities. It will also permit the export of SSJ100 aircraft to Laos and its operation by the country’s airlines without any limitations, SCAC noted.
