S7 Airlines, a member of the oneworld® global alliance, announced that the second airсraft in the oneworld livery has joined its fleet. AEX.ru
Now, besides Boeing 737-800NG aircraft, the carrier also has Airbus A319 aircraft painted in oneworld livery. S7 Airlines logo and inscription «Member of oneworld» are painted on the jet’s white fuselage.
“The Airbus A320 Family aircraft form the basis of the S7 Airlines fleet. The carrier operates 20 Airbus A319s and 15 Airbus A320s. S7 Airlines joined the oneworld global alliance in November 2010. In accordance with oneworld’s requirements, a part of airlines’ fleet must have the alliance’s livery. The first aircraft, Boeing 737-800NG, was painted in the oneworld livery in early 2011”, - the airline noted.
The carrier acquired six new Airbus A320 aircraft and three Boeing 737-800NGs in 2012; as a result the decision on repainting one more jet has been taken. The jet was painted in Netherlands; the work took less than a week. The advanced materials giving the airliner a special gloss have been used during painting.
Besides the new livery, the aircraft now has a brand-new cabin fitted with leather seats in both economy and business classes.
S7 Airlines fleet comprises 51 aircraft: 20 Airbus A319s, 15 Airbus A320s, one Airbus A310, two Boeing 767-300s, four Boeing 737-400s and nine Boeing 737-800NGs, S7 noted.
