Echostar-16 spacecraft was placed into final orbit on November 20th 07:42 Moscow time in accordance with the flight sequence after the separation from Briz-M upper stage. The spacecraft has been placed under the customer’s control, press-service of the Federal Space Agency reports. AEX.ru

«Proton-M rocket (manufactured by Khrunichev Research and Production Space Center) with Briz-M upper stage and Echostar-16 spacecraft was launched from the Baikonur’s launch site 200 on November 20th 22:31 Moscow time by the launch crews of Roscosmos’ enterprises”, - the agency noted.

Echostar-16 spacecraft is the advanced direct broadcasting satellite (DBS) manufactured by Space Systems/Loral (USA) in accordance with the order of EchoStar, a North American telecommunications operator. The satellite is stationed at a geostationary orbit in the 61.5 degrees W slot.
