UTair Aviation signed an agreement with VEB-leasing on financing the deliveries of Airbus aircraft

In the network of the agreement UTair Aviation and VEB-leasing have started the financing of contract on delivery of 20 Airbus A320 Family aircraft signed in June 2012 at Farnborough airshow (UK), UTair’s press-service reports. AEX.ru

"VEB-leasing made ​​the first advance payment to Airbus on October 5th 2012. The total value of the contract is assessed at $2.3 billion at list prices. The participation of VEB-leasing at this stage of the contract’s implementation will allow UTair to put the new aircraft into service in accordance with a previously approved schedule – the first two jets will be delivered in the second quarter of 2013. The deliveries should be completed in November 2015", - the airline noted.

According to the First Deputy Director General and CFO of UTair Aviation, Igor Petrov, “the elaborated financial scheme for acquisition of Airbus aircraft is a unique one in Russian aircraft industry. I am sure that the experience gained during implementation of this project will be used for future investment projects of UTair Group».

"The fruitful cooperation between UTair Aviation and VEB-leasing was started in 2009 when the contract on leasing of 4 new Mi-171 helicopters has been signed. VEB-leasing participated in the UTair’s projects on acquisition of 17 Мi-8АМТ/Мi-171 helicopters and 7 Boeing 737-500/800 aircraft with a total value of $260 million", - the press-service noted.
