The descent module of manned Soyuz TMA-05M transport spaceship has landed in Kazakhstan near Arkalyik town at 5.53 Moscow time. The landing has been performed in normal mode, press-service of Federal Space Agency reports. AEX.ru
“The crew of 33rd long-duration mission formed by commander Yuri Malenchenko (Roscosmos) and onboard engineers: Sunita Williams (NASA) and Akikhiko Khoshide (JAXA) has returned to Earth. The astronauts are feeling all right. The crew members will be delivered to a home station in order to undergo a post-flight rehabilitation”, - the agency noted.
The astronauts have spent almost 127 days in space. Soyuz TMA-05M was launched on July 15th 2012 from Baikonur. It was the fifth space-flight of Yuri Malenchenko and the second one for Sunita Williams and Akikhiko Khoshide. “During their work onboard of ISS the astronauts have taken part in docking/undocking of Progress M-15M cargo ship, Japanese HTV-3 “Konotori-3” cargo ship, European cargo spaceship ATV-3, also known as Edoardo Amaldi, American Space-X «Dragon» spaceship. They have also participated in docking of Progress M-16M, Progress M-17M cargo ship and Soyuz TMA-06M”. Moreover, Yuri Malenchenko together with the commander of 32nd long-duration mission, Gennady Padalka, performed a spacewalk in August in accordance with the program of Russian segment of ISS. Sunita Williams and Akikhiko Khoshide have performed three spacewalks (in August, September and November) in accordance with the program of US segment of ISS”, - Federal Space Agency noted.
During the 33rd long-duration mission Yuri Malenchenko together with the other members of ISS-32 and ISS-34 crews has taken part in about 50 experiments.
The ISS-34 crew is having the duty at the ISS. It is formed by Kevin Ford (commander, NASA) and onboard engineers: Oleg Novitsky (Roscosmos) and Evgeny Tarelkin (Roscosmos).
