S7 Airlines becomes the sponsor of HC Sibir

S7 Airlines, the member of oneworld® global alliance, has become the sponsor of hockey club Sibir (Novosibirsk), the airline’s press-service reports. AEX.ru

«Novosibirsk is the hometown of S7 Airlines, because its history began there. We are glad to support the favorite team of many citizens of Novosibirsk. It is very important for us that HC Sibir is paying special attention to development of sport in the region. The club is taking part in implementation of social program aimed at popularization of healthy lifestyle», - the General Representative of S7 Airlines at Tolmachevo airport, Vyacheslav Novikov, noted.

The Hockey Club Sibir is the participant of Continental Hockey League (or KHL). The club qualified for play-offs and came in sixth in the Conference East of KHL in 2010/2011 season. HC Sibir is implementing a program aimed at popularization of hockey in the region with the assistance of the government of Novosibirsk Region and Department of physical fitness and sports of Novosibirsk Region.

S7 Airlines became the sponsor of HC Sibir in its anniversary season – HC Sibir turns 50 years in 2012/2013 season. The team will play against Amur (Khabarovsk) on November 17th at Sibir ice arena, the airline noted.
