Sukhoi Civil Aircraft (SCAC) will deliver the rest SSJ 100 aircraft to Aeroflot in full contractual specification, press-service of SCAC reports. AEX.ru

We remind you that Aeroflot – Russian Airlines and Sukhoi Civil Aircraft signed a contract in 2005 on delivery of 30 SSJ 100s in standard specification (single class layout with 98 seats). Later the carrier decided to change the jet’s specification in terms of layout, passenger cabin equipment and avionics.

«Some of the changes requested by Aeroflot required additional design definition. In order to avoid the delay of deliveries the parties agreed that the first 10 jets will be delivered to the carrier in “light” specification and later replaced by the ones in full contractual specification (“full” specification). 10 jets in “light” specification have already been delivered to Aeroflot», - the company noted.

The SSJ 100 liners in “light” specification returned to SCAC may be retrofitted in accordance with the requirements of potential customers, press-service of SCAC explained.
